Peter Stas, co-founder of the Group has always been intrigued by how it was possible to add smart features to simple quartz watches. He saw an opportunity to develop exciting connected watches with extensive information and graphics displayed on smartphones since 2010 and eventually launched the first Frederique Constant Horological smartwatch in 2015 becoming one of the bestselling watches within the collection. Innovation being one of the Group’s core values it was logical that a significant part of the R&D budget has been invested in the connected watch technology since then.
